Rumors have it that in the event of the North Korean regime collapse, China would back Kim Jong-nam in his control of the state. In an interview with a Japanese media outlet last Saturday, Kim Jong-nam said he was not interested in becoming the next leader of North Korea. He also said his little brother is too much of a military man and he remains skeptical of Kim Jong-un’s abilities to bring wealth for his countrymen.
