HBO series Sex And The City was huge in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Women were engrossed by the four girls’ outrageous New York adventures.

However, the franchise is showing its age. The TV show is long over and the last movie was a big flop.

Now the original cast are to be put out to pasture and replaced by hot, young talent for a Sex and the City prequel.

The new girls will play younger versions of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha just getting their start in the Big Apple.

Will the new cast successfully introduce a new generation to the show, or just end up alienating older fans?
